God is Good
#GodIsGood
The Big Man Upstairs, the Great Spirit in the sky, a Benevolent Force, a Cosmic Killjoy, a simple childish fantasy — it seems as if the world is pretty confused about who God is and what He really does. That’s because people usually decide what they want to believe about God and try to define Him in their own ways.
But what would happen if we let God define Himself? Would that make us think differently? Would we really be able to understand what God does and get to know Him for who He is? Join us for the message series, GOD IS GOOD, as we discover what God says about Himself and what that means in our lives.
God Is Good — Part 1
God is our Victory
August 8th, 2015 — Pastor Erik Lawson
We will be looking at several different names of God from the Old Testament that reveal an aspect of His goodness. At the beginning of Paul’s ministry he said 1 Corinthians 15:9 “I am the least of the apostle.” Then in middle, “I am the least of the saints” Ephesians 3:8 then at the end “I am the chief of sinners.” In 1 Timothy 1:15 the longer we walk with God the smaller we get and the bigger He gets. We come to understand that everything we have is simply because God is good.

God Is Our Righteousness
August 16th, 2015 — Pastor Erik Lawson
When you pray where do you see Jesus? We have the view that we are crawling before the Father and Jesus seated side by side. Jesus comes with us side by side into the Fathers presence. Jesus stands as our legal representative before God.

God Our Shepherd
August 23th, 2015 — Pastor Jason Martin
We always have the pictures in our heads of a shepherd as a wimpy guy in a robe holding a fluffy lamb: like a Precious Moments figurine. Just lying around all day playing an instrument with their clean fresh robe on. However, the shepherds of the Bible talks about were armed (rod and staff). They were ready to do battle to protect their flock. Shepherds were tough it required and still does an immense amount of work. Shearing, cleaning, treating, vaccinating, worming, rescuing, feeding, preparing for the sheep…

God Our Peace
August 30th, 2015 — Pastor Erik Lawson
In this message pastor Erik focuses on Jesus being our peace. Often when we ask, “why,” and “where” and “how” it is sign we’ve lost perspective. Lost perspective leads to lost peace. We lose peace when we ask wrong questions. Jesus focused on WHO! Peace of mind is not in WHY, WHERE, HOW, but in WHO!
